In past years when I did banking, purchased insurance, got my taxes done, bought major appliances and furniture there was more personal commitment, loyalty and personal satisfaction when eye to eye contact is made. It seems the fast superstore, internet, access to business is cold, heartless and the computer world has denied us the ability to identify our character and the character representing us. For example a credit score is reporting data, it's a computer offering my life's story but Mr. Smith at the bank knows me and wants my business and extends to me his trust and faith. The superstore clerks don't care if I can't find what I need because the computer says it's not available but Mr. Lee at independent store says I'll find it for you and he just made a sale. That eye to eye contact makes me feel great and worthy of the money I spend and I in turn feel loyalty. It makes me curious how many people would let their credit get bad if loyalty played a role in their decisions?
