Do you feel that there is largely a unique and seperate way to fight a female's anatomy as opposed to a male's

self defense addresses so much of the way to fight a male that females may not know exactly what to do against a female opponent. Have you found that there is a uniquely different strategy from one to the other.

  1. Aside from the obvious answers previously stated (male - groin / female - chest), there is a distinct differences between the jaws of males and females.

Men tend to have thicker more prounounced jaws, while women have thin and softer jaws. This means that a solid strike to the jaw would so significantly more damage to a female than a male.

If you watch MMA or Boxing you will notice guys like Tito Ortiz or Chuck Liddell, who both have very square pronounced jaw lines, dont get knocked out very often.

  2. Yeah i've noticed that. I took this martial arts class for a year. And yeah, one of the major targets is, well, the groin. But that doesn't mean that this could only be used to hurt guys. If I was hit in that area, or if i took a soccer ball to that area, it wouldn't hurt me. But shoot, if someone kicks me hard enough between the legs, it will still hurt. Just because girls dont have ummm... stuff down there doesn't mean that we have no feeling in the groin area. Its still skin.

By the way, yeah um the b*****s are the most sensitive and easy-to-hurt part of a girls' body. Or at least, being a girl, that's what I"VE noticed. But then again, punching or kicking a girl in the boob would be... awkward. Lol, and painful!!

But you know if you've ever seen two girls fighting, you'll never see one punch the other there. The same with two guys and kicking between the legs.

  3. Fighting a female is certainly different than fighting a male.  But as to "largely unique and seperate way" I dont think so.

The biggest issue that I have with it is that when teaching a female student when first starting to spar and fight, is that there are areas that I completely avoid so that I do not make her feel uncomfortable.  Once they have been doing it more, that goes away almost completely.   I think that they actually improve quicker than most men, solely because most Men will revert to using strength when stressed.

I think I do see your thought process, and just like the fact that Men know what would most hurt a man, a woman will know the same when fighting another woman in a self defense situation.  Overall, 99% of our attacks affect a male or female body essentially the same, so that additional 1% is pretty negligible.

Also, the size of your jaw is in no way related to how easy you are to knock out.  A knock out is a jarring of the brain, causing temporary unconsciousness.  The Jaw may be target area, but only because it is further from the brain stem, therefore causing more twisting motion to cause the brain trauma.  It is actually neck strength that helps keep this from happening, not jaw size.

  4. You should kick a guy in the nuts. You should punch a chick in the b***s.

  5. I have heard their b*****s are sensitive to being hit.

  6. There's not much difference really. Their b*****s are sensitive - similar pain to having our testicles kicked. Also, their groin area can be kicked in the same manner as though you were kicking a male. Other than that, their anatomy is mostly the same.

  7. DF is correct on that answer that is one sensitive spot just as with the male groin. BUT the female groin can also be hurt as well just not the same way as a man, but it can still hurt a lot.

I find that all opponents male or female I have to fight uniquely so each have their strengths and weaknesses.

  8. Dont dismiss hitting a female in the groin... While not as debilitating as hitting a male there, it still effin hurts! Being hit in the chest area hurts too, and near the armpits because of the glands in that area.
