  1. Oh yes!!! I feel that if your phone rings you should either ignore it or excuse yourself from the table for a little while and take care of the call.

  2. Yes nothing is worse than someone with a cell talking in front of people.

  3. Definately. I hate to wait on a table and some idiot is on their cell phone. I won't go back until I see the person is off their cell phone.

Lately, when I go to take the order, I won't be quiet or anything (when someone is on the cell). It's not fair to the other person.

If the cell phone user is not ready I don't go back until they call me over. My time is as important as their time.

It's becoming a rude world out there, between cell phones and computers!

  4. Yes, unless you are a doctor on call or the babysitter has set your house on fire.  In these cases, excuse yourself from the table, then finish your conversation or dial 911.

  5. Yes.

I dont, however, think its rude to answer to make sure there is no emergency, but def. rude to have a conversation. ESPECIALLY if you are out with someone!

  6. yes

  7. Yes, very rude.

  8. If you are dining with someone else, I find it rude to use a cell phone, unless it's an emergency or very important call. I often see people out together, and one's blabbing on the phone or texting the whole time. That's incredibly rude.

What's also rude is talking on your cell phone while a server is trying to take your order. Can't whoever is on the other line wait 3 seconds while you put your order in?! A lot of servers I know won't even acknowledge a guest until they're off their phone. On the rare occasion that I did have to use my phone, I'd politely apologize to the server and let them know that I would be off shortly.

Another rude aspect of talking on a cell phone in a restaurant is the disruption to the other guests dining there. No one else needs to hear your loud conversations. If it's that important, stand outside instead of ruining everyone else's good time. I hate people on phones with zero regard to the people around them!

  9. If I was out with someone, got up three times and sat down at someone elses table to chat with them no one would be questioning whether or not I was being rude. Why does doing the equivalent on a cell phone change things?

  10. yes very rudee indeeed

  11. if you're out with someone, very rude with few exceptions.

  12. It is about the rudest thing imaginable.

Being with you in person is not as interesting or important as talking on the phone to someone else?  Ugh.

Unless it was a dire emergency, I'd be very insulted.

  13. Yes, it is rude to use a cell phone while dining out. If the call is important, you should excuse yourself, go someplace where the conversation can't be heard and apologize to the person you are with.

  14. Yes.  I will speak up to a dining companion who answers the phone while we are eating.

It is completely rude.  Unless your grandma is dying, don't use the phone in a restaurant.

  15. If your not loud and making a scene, then its fine. If your on a date, then yes it is rude.

  16. Yes, I think having a cell conversation when you are with someone else is rude ANYTIME!

  17. NOT REALLY BUT IN UR CASE VERY RUDE EXPECILLY IF U WANT THE GUY TO LIKE U!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  18. i think it's rude if you're out on a date, unless it's your family... but if you are just hanging out with a friend, it's not that bad, as long as you don't stay on the phone for a long time.

i hate when i'm hanging out with friends, and they just sit on the phone for a long time.
