Do you feel the baby move?

i am 38 weeks 1 day with mild contractions that are not frequent or "exact" time apart but i am still feeling her move like crazy. Do they nprmally move soooo much right before labor or do i still gotta while to go. I have 2 other kids but cant really remember!! thanx

i was just going thru all my old books where i wrote everything when i was preg i ad to av this thing done where they strapped a machine around my stomach to monitor everything (heartbeat,movements plus da mild contractions) dat i was having i was over due by 1day at dis stage but anyway my baby was moving like crazy...  my baby was born 3days after dat hope i helped :) CONGRATS

Usually its said that the baby's movements or kicks will decrease in amount closer to Delivery day but thats not always the case. My youngest when I was pregnant with her gave me horrible braxton hicks contractions when I was around 38 weeks pregnant and I was for sure that she was coming soon cause her kicks decreased but low and behold I went 1 week and 6 days overdue with her and had to be induced cause she still didn't wanna come out. I think as long as baby is still moving around and your contractions are not frequent or close together then you and baby are fine and might still have a week or so to go.Its a game of chance with pregnancy...50% chance baby is comin soon and 50% chance you have a bit to go
