Convince? No...but if I like them, I hope they will take time to at least make sure (in their mind and heart) whether or not they feel I am right for them. Rejection is never fun, but being dismissed before you feel the other person really took time to get to know you a bit, is even more stinging and disappointing...especially if it was they who showed the initial interest.
