  1. Depends on how you interpet it.

  2. same as when someone would call you "Hun" "sweety" it's a name of endearment and depends on the context of the conversation.

  6. its just as common as someone in America calling you "hun"... its an endearing word people use when they are trying to be sensative and closer to you.. Nothing to get upset about.. With some its a habit..

  7. Habibi (for guys) or habibtii (for girls) could mean lover. But it could also mean "my dear" or "honey" or even "my friend". It actually depends on the way it is used.

  8. No it doesn't make anyone uncomfortable because we say it to our moms to our dads sisters brothers girlfriends/boyfriends grandmother/grandfather aunts/uncles even to our enemy its really a nice word that is suitable to all people in all cases !

  10. NO its normal anywhere in the Arab world. I do it in Palestine. it is nothing homosexual about the word it is a sign of care and respect for the person. unless i say to you Ya 7abib alby and start to feel on you then you can run! LOL otherwise chill out and take it like a man.
