  1. Hurtful labels bother me. L*****n? Yeah, I am. Butch and femme?...

I think labels are only bad when the people who are using them are trying to make them bad. Otherwise, they are what they are. If you yourself familiarize and identify with a certain label then more power to you lol. Not a problem.

  2. Ummm... well I am g*y... but I dont have a problem... they can sometimes be a little overboard but.. not a problem to me...

  3. I am femme and I accept that term.

I feel it is a good description of me. I don't mind descriptions - it's the stereotypes that people have that I don't like.

I am a femme but I don't feel I have to follow any rules or adhere to any stereotype. The word femme does not feel restrictive to me at all because I am femme and I define who I am not what others view femme as.

  4. I prefer to just think of myself as sexual. I don't need the labels, but I know that they help others in a way.

  5. I don't agree with labels, i think a person's soul is more important then their body.

Although some people have said this means i'm pansexual :s There's a label for everything, i guess! But that doesn't mean that we all have to pick one.

  6. definitely, but everyones different and even labels cant label people, only put on a temporary film hiding ur true self

  7. I don't have a problem with labels when it comes to sexuality, but things like 'emo' and 'prep' are kinda different, I don't fit into any of those

  8. I don't really have a problem with labels. I'd rather say, "I'm a L*****n" then have to launch into my life story explaining that I prefer women over men.

    It's a time saver.

The only labels that really annoy me are ones like "jock" and "prep" and "emo". Things like "Christian" and "atheist" and "g*y" and "straight" are helpful, not hurtful.

To put a name to how you feel can be comforting.

  9. Yes, I think labels are for cans!

How can we expect everyone to fit into a certain label?  Everyone is different, and have their own mix to add. I think diversity is what makes life interesting.

I do not fit into any label.  I make my own label!

  10. I do, actually.

I honestly have no idea what I would label myself as - in terms of what I wear at least.  I've asked other people this even just out of curiosity and have never really gotten an answer for it.  I feel good about it though.

In terms of what kind of g*y I am, it annoys me that I feel uncomfortable and uneasy not having an exact label, unlike the feeling of pride I have over having no label for how I dress and act.  It's like somehow having a label makes it more ok to be g*y or it means I fit into some group that I can relate to or something, and plus it's easier to explain to people, instead of saying, "I'm emotionally and physically attracted to women, but only physically attracted to men (as a rule), therefore I would not date a man because I would only date someone I'm emotionally attracted to, so therefore I live a L*****n lifestyle though you might consider me homoflexible or half bisexual."  Phew.   See?  It just complicates things.  And then I feel like having an uncategorized sexuality makes me deviant even amongst deviants....  But alas.  I'll get used to it.  Labels just make it easier on a newbie like me.  And doesn't the sheer number of labels make it at least more variant and colorful of a crowd?  It just shows that we need a lot of different categories to even attempt to label the lot of us because of our wonderful differences :)
