Do you feel you loose something?

To all you women, when you go to a nudist beach and undressed everything, do you feel you lose something? Do you feel uncomfortable when your assets are seen by prying eyes?

How different is this situation compared to a peeping tom?

  1. I visited a nude beach for the first time last week. I didn't feel all that uncomfortable. It was a little weird for a few minutes, but the beach wasn't that crowded and me and my friend weren't jammed up next to people. No one was staring, but I think everyone looks.

We went back the next day and there were more people. We sat around talking to a few other girls and a guy our age. One of the girls had nipple rings, so I looked at them a few times. I was sitting Indian style for a while and I'm pretty sure all of them looked at my pooter. I know one of them did because we were talking about bikini waxing.

I think if I had seen someone with binoculars or a camera I would have left. No one did, so I don't mind having someone see my goods if they are naked too. I did get a little annoyed when some young teens started hanging out just down the beach from us. The guys all had swimsuits and the girls did too. It is a clothing optional area, but it made me ask myself why come here if you're not gonna be nude? They didn't stay long. One of the other people we were talking to started to stare them down and they must have been intimidated.

I suppose I view those kids like I would a peeping tom. I don't know that anyone has ever peeped on me. I'm nude at home most of the time and if people see me I wouldn't be freaked out, but I would be bothered if someone wanted to use pix or a mental image of me as masturbation fodder.

  2. I would not necessarily consider myself a nudist, although maybe somewhat of an exhibitionist.  I have been to nude beaches many times over the last 10 years.  I enjoy the freedom of it, and do not feel as though I am losing anything of myself.  Rather, I feel as though I am gaining some sort of independence from conventional rules/norms that say that being covered is "right," while being undressed is somehow immoral.

However, when on a nude beach, EVERYONE is naked- which prevents peeping toms or gawkers.  I would feel uncomfortable in a situation where someone was sneaking around and watching me naked, or if I were the only one naked on the beach.  This question is actually debated a bit on the message boards at dennyp.com

  3. Although I am not a nudist, I have visited a few nudist colonies on occasion. Since I believe my assets are intelligence, humour, and respect for others, I really have never felt as though I lost anything by being unclothed.
