i dont normally like the lightening we have at home in Wales. but while on holiday in Yugoslavia (when it was yugoslavia) i saw fork lightening, it was absolutely fascinating, i have never seen anythin like it before or since. So maybe in different parts of the world , lightening is different.

I love a kick-*** thunderstorm!!

I find it fascinating ever since I was a young boy and a sudden thunderstorm sprang up over our home.  In a matter of minutes, it went from being sunny, hot and humid to nearly dark and windy.  While my Mom and I were hurrying around to closing windows, the largest raindrops I had ever seen began to loudly smack on the driveway.  Before we could even get the windows closed a bolt of lightening struck a tree about 30 feet from our back yard.  Wow!  What a noise!  I ran to the back porch and saw the tree split in two with a small fire burning deep inside what was left of the base.  

After the storm was over, I just could not stop looking at that tree.  It had been about fifty feet tall and now was split all the way to the ground.  I could not believe an electrical discharge could be that powerful.

Ever since, I have had a total facination with lightening.

I don't find lightening entertaining since it can destroy a person's home in a heart beat or kill some unsuspecting person walking (or running to get out of the storm).

Defiantly, it's fun to watch it hit stuff.

I find it really fascinating, but here in England, we rarely ever get a good lightning storm.
