Do you find humour in sexist jokes?

does anyone find sexist jokes funny? agaist both genders? can you still believe in equal rights if one laughs at a sexist joke?

Jokes usually revolve around stereotypes, simplifications that amount to sexism, racism--any "ism" imaginable.  I've no problem with  that.  Given enough distilled beverages, I'll even laugh at prime time TV.  Humor is subjective.  But how can anyone doubt that all women are equal?

I laugh at funny jokes that are made in relatively good taste.  I also don't take stereotypes too seriously...so its easier to find them funny...

yes, its being told as a joke not a serious opinion. i laugh at racist jokes as well.

Depends on the joke. I laugh sometimes at blonde jokes when they're funny, but most of them are dumb.

I'm trying to find a joke I got yesterday that is really funny. I will find it and get back.

Here it is!!! It's a political joke - not a sexist one, though.

A Japanese doctor said, "Medicine in my country is so advanced that we can take a kidney out of one man, put it in another, and have him looking for work in six weeks."

Not usually.  "Humor" which has its origins in someone else's pain or debasement has never struck me as funny.

Of course people find them funny.  Why do you think they are so popular?  But that doesn't make someone sexist anymore than laughing at a racist joke makes one racist.  If the joke is funny and well crafted, it is meant to instill a laugh.

You can see the ridiculousness of the joke and still find it amusing.

Absolutely.

Unfortunately, the truest things are usually the funniest. I do believe in equal rights, but reality is what it is. Just becaue you believe in the ideal does not mean you can't laugh at reality.

Besides, you can either laugh or you can cry.

It is not really a sexist joke though, more like making fun of the        eccentricity of dead theologians in their 'counsel'
