  1. Yes I do, I found that funny however I am with America and GBR to the end with any form of military situation.

    God Bless Great Britain.

    God Bless America.

    Craig.

  2. Careful, you're starting to sound unpatriotic.

Seriously, I don't agree with Russia's actions either. To be honest I'm sorta with McCain on this one. But we really have to stop the whole "policing the world" thing. We're stretching ourself thin as it is.

  3. Well, I admit the Iraq war is an embarrassment and I was against it from the start.

But give us credit.  At least the US spends billions of dollars rebuilding countries it has attacked while Russia conducts destroy-and-conquer missions without regard to the civilians involved.

  4. The United States is the defender of democracy and global protector. Deal with it.

  5. I don't recall Russia responding to our invasion, but I find it hilarious that we are rebuking Russia for killing civilians.

  6. great point. i agree with you.

  7. Yes - if it wasn't so sick - it might be funny.

America probaly doesn.t realise it  -  but the world has watched this fiasco over Georgia  -  and taken note.

They have listened to the comments coming from Bush , Cheney and Rice - and juxtaposed Iraq.

The world knows that Russia (and Spain) repeatedly  warned that if a precedent was set over Kosovo it would lead to future problems down the line. Putin raised the matter at every venue he could - and it was widely reported in the serious press, but Bush went ahead and recognised Kosovo as an independent state, and so did Britain and NATO ( I think EU who understood the problem declined to commit one way or the other).

So - down the line - the Georgia problem flared up on Russia's doorstep, and thankfully the Russians were able to go in quickly and defuse the situation. And USA just jumped into propaganda gear and ran riot with it.

However, the propaganda is essentially for it's own US citizens. Political leaders around the world know full well what has happened.  Don't be surprised if Russia and China decide to "insure " themselves against moving NATO borders - and who could blame them?
