Why should we be ashamed of our bodies? they aren't hurting anyone and you do have neck muscles and eye lids in case you have a problem with it. I personally wouldn't do it past age 2, like a poster above me said, nor would I do it for very long, because of how brutal the sun is.

Yes I do. Personally because I would never intentionally allow my child to do so. Way too many crazy people in the world today. It's one thing if they're at home, but completely different in public.

not me.....a small child is innocent and i don't think anything of it..the only ones that would are the sexual deviants and sickos.....i don't think anything of seeing a small naked child.....

no, not at all. I think it is perfectly fine. I grew up in Germany where there are even adults and very old people nude at the beach. I think that is distrubing. But small children, let them be children they dont care if they are naked as long as they are having fun.

Definitely!  My concern is for my 5 year old daughter who I am trying to teach modesty to.  I can't even stand when some parents in my neighborhood let their little boys run around in their underwear outside.  It is not appropriate in public and very disturbing!

VERY disturbing!  It is in very poor taste.  Why would the rest of us want to see your naked child running around?  And have these parents ever stopped to think that maybe I don't want my 5 year old girl to see naked boys?  Or my 4 year old boy to see naked girls?

And how do they know that there isn't a pedophile watching their naked little child behind his sunglasses?  

A quick change is one thing, but to let them run around and play naked is just inconsiderate!

A small child is innocent, and that child being naked is so un-sexual so I don't see why it would matter. They are not in any more danger from pedophiles naked or clothed.

Our bodies are not purely sexual things and I wish people would stop thinking this way.

Why should it be disturbing! are you thinking about paedophiles on the beach, possibly there are, but its a sad world to think like that.

We came in this world naked and we go the same way with nothing.

Why make a child feel bad about being naked, when its the dirty filthy men who have the gross thoughts, have they not spoilt enough innocents without making small children feel its there fault, that is what they tell themselves, they led me on at three years old, she knew what she was doing, that's what they say to the judge, and these men believe it, they do think children have knowledge of consenting s*x.

No. If you mean like under 2 years old- I pay no mind.

Sexual Predators do not care if a child is clothed or naked. They prey on children because of the power it gives them.

A toddler running around naked is just no big deal- they are babies! My kids only wore a swim diaper when they were 1 and 2 to the beach. Their little cheeks and bellies were so chunky and cute. I doubt anyone had a problem with it.

however, after the child is 2.. it's a good time to start teaching modesty.

It personally doesn't offend me, but it does concern me.  Unfortunately, there are weirdos in the world who get turned on by seeing an innocent child running around naked.  In fact, a man in our area was arrested last year after police found thousands of pictures of young children on a local beach in his house.  That one really scared me!

This falls under the "Those Days are Gone" category ... there was a time when this was the norm, even in Victorian/puritan North America ... but, alas, with the passing of time, comes awareness ...

And what we know now, that we did not know years ago, is what some humans are capable of - things unspeakable, unfathomable and disgusting - things once unknown ...

Personally, I am not offended, but I would not do this with my child in public - not with we all know could be lurking out there ...

when i was small i (you know like a toddler) i would sit in the backyard and stuff and i don'[t find it disturbing but at the beach i can imagine it might be un comfortable

but parents should take care that there kids dont get sun burnt
