  1. No I don't it makes Saudi Arabia more mysterious.

  2. as an employee of a private business sector, sure.

as a person, no. but, most people are frustrated of the indirect consequences. for example, no good public health care. but may be part of it was due to lack of good planning. and the first step of any planning is knowing the statistics of patients.

same, a lot of unemployment, big part of it is due to lack of available positions for all graduates. again, planning and the birst brick of planning is knowing the figures.

so, i dont think people are frustrated of lack of statistics, who cares? but they always complain of lack of planning.

  3. as ameen said...as an individual i don't really care if there were any statistics (except maybe when it comes to malpractice and medical errors in hospitals and clinics..i would want to know those before going under the knife if you know what i mean)...

but for organizations, companies and even investors...statistics should be available, should be reliable and should be up to date...there's no excuse

how or what else would they all use to plan smart? how would we compare growth and development in the 1980s vs the 2000s?? what would we use to prove potential beneifits and profits (which almost always requires actual numbers and figures) ? how would researchers and scholars conduct studies and come up with results that we can actually use?

in that aspect...lack of statistics alltogether (cause even those little vague and outdated ones are useless and unreliable) is stupid, arrogant, and shameful.....how on earth did we, saudis, accept this and stood silent about it for so long....is beyound my comprehension....rage is not even a strong enough word to describe what i feel in regards to this issue...i do not have the ability to think of one good enough reason to convince me that good, updated and trustworthy  statistics in every aspect of our lives (especially that the country is relatively young and the population is not that grand not to mention the very good financial ability) can't be done and provided to all

  4. ......no its not frustrating but its accepting the reality.....statistics is vital not only to companies and to econmists but to every people.....it is getting informed for the whereabouts like where the country stand today, its literacy rate, its per capita income, GNP, etc. But those things were taken for granted and nobody cares for them really.....as one person says, its not eatable then why care? lolz

  5. never really thought about it.
