  1. It is also misleading.  The PDO shift to cool phase does not last ten years, but 20-30 years.

Unlike El Niño and La Niña, which may occur every 3 to 7 years and last from 6 to 18 months, the PDO can remain in the same phase for 20 to 30 years. The shift in the PDO can have significant implications for global climate, affecting Pacific and Atlantic hurricane activity, droughts and flooding around the Pacific basin, the productivity of marine ecosystems, and global land temperature patterns. “This multi-year Pacific Decadal Oscillation ‘cool’ trend can intensify La Niña or diminish El Niño impacts around the Pacific basin,” said Bill Patzert, an oceanographer and climatologist at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, Calif. “The persistence of this large-scale pattern [in 2008] tells us there is much more than an isolated La Niña occurring in the Pacific Ocean.”

In other words, it is the force of nature, which is more powerful than greenhouse gases that causes climate change.

Pay notice to this passage in the above quote:

"The shift in the PDO can have significant implications for global climate, affecting Pacific and Atlantic hurricane activity, droughts and flooding around the Pacific basin, the productivity of marine ecosystems,"

Are they going to blame the above climate shifts to global cooling?  Bet you any money they will blame "climate change".

  2. Funny!  Just like they said we would have more hurricanes in 2007 and we had no major hurricanes hit the US.  They like to fit their message and if it doesn't come true, they change it to fit their politics.

  3. well sure there is a slight warming, its called cycles. If man is causing global warming, why did the past ice ages melt since it was before mankind industralized. And actually volcanoes are supposedly going off because of pollution. But a volcanoe will actually cool the earth just by throwing its dust in the air.

Oh I've been to Kauai, Hawaii where alot of movies have been made, and I have been on the hot side of the island and the water temp hasn't been this cold for 10years. Sure you might think the cold water is coming from the melting ice from the south pole, but even if the current was from the south pole, the water would have had to warm up enough to melt and travel north across the hottest point of the earth(equater) and cool back down when it gets to Hawaii. Even though the ocean currents don't come from the south.

  4. The green house gas is not there the plants have done a great job on CO2.

  5. I think it is absolutely hilarious and also very sad. It's funny that people actually believe this c**p and sad that people would go to such great lengths ( not to mention such far fetched lies) to make money!

  6. Yes I do! lol. It's called cycles....the earth warms, it cools, it warms, it cools! Yes the pollution may have somewhat of an effect, but come on! The earth would warm up anyways people. And I don't see all you complaining about global warming going and getting a horse and buggie! Or would the horses **** cause the air to smell bad?

  7. That's a good point and it shows what liars they are who are treating us like idiots.

  8. yeah they haven't a clue what they are talking about

  9. Well laff it up then!  You have until November.

  10. o well maybey theyll realize now that not payin attention to things makes them go away :)

  11. Just give them another 9 days. At this time, they will have "tweaked" their models enough to claim the cold spell was predicted.

  12. YES, very much so, because half of these people do not understand weather patterns that happen naturally and will not give other people credit because of these people's educational background in studying weather.
