If this video "Cleaning the Air": shell.com/us/realenergy isn't enough to convince you that oil companies are loading us full of propaganda, then I am not sure what will. It's painful, but try to watch it for the full 7 mins, you don't want to miss the tear-jerking ending.

  1. I think that's why they call it capitalism.

  2. No, they have invested millions in cleaner technology, which if GW does not come to pass, will have been wasted.

  3. Natural gas is cleaner than gas or diesel, but unlike what they say-we are running out. We may have years but we are using it up at an alarming rate. Shell would be better off funding concentrating solar and nuclear.

  4. Ugh.. they sell the product that is destroying our planet. No matter what they say they are still contributing to this mess.

  5. what i really hate is when some liar injects "we're cleaning up the environment" into a global warming discussion.

"Clean coal" generates just as much CO2 as dirty coal.

    don't get me wrong.

removing  sulfur and nitrogen from the smokestacks is a good thing.

but it has nothing at all to do with global warming.

anyone who attempts to make you think it does is lying to you.

  6. No.  Global warming only helps these corporations rake in more profits.  They are switching from oil to energy suppliers.

Hydrogen will be taken from oil, as oil has more carbon than water, and oil is far more plentiful than fresh water.

They also have the distribution stations all ready in place.

Global warming helps big oil rake in more profits.

  7. People on the global warming page still need gas for their cars...if one evil oil company is "less evil" than the rest, isn't that the one you'll buy from for your 70 m/g hybrid?
