Do you find it odd, weird or interesting...

Question

Do you find it odd, weird or interesting that the age of which girls start to wear makeup is dropping? i mean i love makeup dont get me wrong but for example: i just saw an answer and a 12 year mentioned she wears eyeliner, mascara and shadow!

I totally agree. All these younger girls that wear makeup wear it in excess! They put way too much on and it doesn't look good. Especially with eyeliner.. girls sometimes tend to look like racoons! I think they should just stick with some lipgloss and maybe some mascara at most. I started wearing makeup in highschool and now that I'm almost done with highschool, I barely wear any at all. It feels so much better and makes my skin better too!

i find it weird, i dont want to see little kids wearing make up, also someone in 6th grade said they thought they outgrew limited too, and should wear stuff like hollister... i said something and got thumbs down!? kids need to be kids that is all... dont try to grow up so fast

I think its kind of sad, you know that these children are so self conscious at such a young age. Natural beauty is so under appreciated these days, and why do such young girls care so much? Why don't they appreciate the most carefree times of their lives? If they knew what it was to really grow up, they wouldn't want to so fast lol. Kids should be running around without makeup in whatever clothes they want, enjoying the days before they can't go to the convenience store without a little mascara :) and, of course buying gas there as well :(. I didn't start wearing makeup until freshman year of high school, and I know a lot of girls who didn't start until their sophomore year.

there are girls just starting my high school (11 yrs old) who wear tons of makeup and tbh it looks a little ott they look like they are trying too hard

i find it interesting that thats the way they are trying to fit in

im exactly the same as you! but in my town i have girls that are 4 years younger then me and they look my age and if not older! its rediculous

i am 13 and i barely ever wear makeup, only when i go out. i started in 7th grade bc my mom said i could but i only wore mascara. and i actually did outgrow limited too when i was 12, for some reason no matter what size it was always a belly shirt on me. but then i just shoped at places like kohls.

there is this girl in my school in 6th grade who wears hollister, but she is the tiniest flatest thing you have ever seen and she looks rediculus (sp?) and another girl has blonde hair and blonde everything and she wears the tackiest makeup i have ever seen! how do their mothers let them go out like that?!

i probably wont wear makeup everday until 9th grade or older. i kinda understand where the kids are coming from tho when they want to wear hollister, i wanted to when i was 12 but i still dont fit in them and i dont want to look like an idiot and hollister is overrated anyway.

ok i am done sorry for the rant.
