Do you find it strange that I prefer to watch family Guy alone rather than with other peopl.e..???

considering that it is a comedy. I mean I just find it annoying watching it with other people! its strange because for other people I know they are the complete opposite. as its a comedy I don't laugh like outloud but snigger and find it funny and don't really laugh like i'm in stiches.thats how I enjoy the show and really find it hilarioust!

No I don't find it strange.  I'm the same way.  I love the show, watch it all the time, but my wife does not get it or something.  If it's on, I have to constantly hear about how she doesn't think the show is funny, and how she doesn't understand why I think it's funny and yada, yada, yada, over and over again, so as a result I prefer to watch it alone.

Maybe it's because you know they won't find the jokes funny, and criticize the show.  Also, your habits towards the jokes change when someone else is watching, that gets annoying. This makes you think that you shouldn't be forced to hold some habits because company is watching the show with you. You don't feel happy, because Family Guy shows sexual content or bad language and you don't feel comfortable seeing that in front of people who you have known for a long time. Being alone, makes you comfortable because you don't care what the program shows as long as it is funny.

i actually find myself in the same situation a lot of the time. somehow when i'm by myself i find it easier to enjoy the show because there isn't anyone there who doesn't think it's funny or who doesn't understand it. likewise, there is no one there who finds it overly funny in parts that i didn't quite laugh at myself. i think watching comedies by yourself allows you to enjoy the parts that you find hilarious, without influence from another viewer. because we all know that we often don't have the same take on a film or movie that our friend sitting next to us does.

No, it is not strange at all...sometimes I prefer to watch a show I really want to see alone.  I, like you, get annoyed at people, but usually for talking and making me miss something...

I might have killed someone by now if it weren't for TiVo, because you can rewind the show back as far as 30 minutes!
