Do you find it surreally bizarre that some people want to drill in melted polar ice cap?

Do you even know what the Arctic is like? ANWR is not a melted polar ice cap, most of the ice in the Arctic floats in the ocean and ANWR is on land. The Arctic ice has melted and re-grown in the last 120 years as historical records show, from a near solid chunk of ice to less ice than there is today.  The part of ANWR where drilling is proposed is so desolate not even caribou or polar bears go there, but if we put in an attraction like a pipeline and oil-extraction equipment, they might visit more often. The existing pipeline has not disrupted the wildlife and neither would a new one.

What I find bizarre is someone who barely understands the debate being passionate enough about it to post a question like this. I'm sure we'd be much better off if we let China and Russia drill 30 miles off the shore of Florida. They have a much stronger vested interest in keeping our coastlines safe from oil spills than we do, right? They're already doing it and it's stupid to think they'd do a better or safer job of it than us. As for ANWR, there's not enough oil there to even have a debate as far as I'm concerned but your question irked me.

Yes, I see what you mean.

But there is millions of barrels of Oil under that waste ice.

It's a Great Idea.

Nylon, Rubber, and Plastic all comes from Oil.  And much of everything else we utilize.

If Democrats keep stopping us from Drilling, we are going down.

Oil is still the most Efficient and the Cheapest source of Energy know to man.
