Beauty is studied as part of aesthetics, sociology, social psychology and culture. As a cultural creation, beauty has been extremely commercialized. 4. Beauty is in the eyes of BEER holder.

    And it is no joke.

A pint and a half of beer can produce the effect – and in men it may last 24 hours.

In the study, volunteers were randomly allocated a vodka and lime or a similar tasting non-alcoholic drink.

About half an hour later, both groups were asked to rate the attractiveness of 20 male and 20 female faces on a seven-point scale.

Those who had been drinking alcohol scored the faces about 10 per cent higher than the non-drinkers.

When the groups were tested again the next day, the men who had drunk alcohol still gave pictures of women higher ratings than those who had not.

Dr Marcus Munafo, an experimental psychologist who led the study at Bristol University, said: "The findings are important because of the role drink plays in, for example, unsafe s*x." It is thought alcohol stimulates the striatum, an area of the brain important in attraction.

  5. Yes.. Beauty have different propects

  6. Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Inorder to define beauty you need to be beautiful!!!

  7. it's something so simple... it can't just have one definition of course, as everybody has their own version of what beauty is but basically, it is just something that makes people attracted to it..

  8. I don't think it is a difficult concept because I see beauty in the most unlikely things.

I am a macro photographer.  I love tiny subjects, as well as showing a new perspective on items you don't see everyday.  It is my gift of sharing a new view.  I have found a new discovery of beauty in dead plants. I know this sounds weird, but when a plant / flower / leaf dies it changes in not only color but texture, and in this new form different lighting angles and styles makes it look amazing!

I now find myself in constant viewing mode and looking for the smallest, or even deadest of items because I think their is beauty in life and in death.

If we are speaking of people.... we all know that there is a variety of looks that we find attractive. Did you know that there is an actual science to the number which some consider beautiful? Yes, it has to do with the ratio between the features on the face.  You could take a image of a beautiful woman, and over lay your own face and if the eyes, nose, and mouth all line up, that shows how your symmetry must be that of a beautiful person, even though we all look different in our own way.

But even more than looks go...  I think it is important to search for the beauty on the inside of a person.  Even most gorgeous woman can have a black, mean, and hateful heart.  And the most homely woman could have the most sincere heart, great personality, overall giving person, and this one will shine like a flawless diamond.  Beauty must be judged on more than an outer layer of skin, because the outside can be changed in an instant.  The constant beauty is our essence on the inside.

  9. As the saying goes "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". What some people find beautiful, others may not notice its beauty. To me, one part of beauty is nature's own living creatures, trees & flowers. The sky to me is beautiful and the birds singing and also listening to the rain tapping at the windows. There are so many things that can be beautiful that i suppose it is virtually impossible to define beauty in a few words...

  10. It's just one of those things that makes life worth living, the elusiveness, the endless quest.

  11. Not at all.

There is objective beauty and subjective beauty.

Objective beauty are the standards that transcend cultural boundaries.

Like symmetry, the golden ratio, and simplicity found in the seemingly complex.

Subjective beauty is found in individual tastes and personal preference.

    The beauty of diversity.

  12. Beautify is spirit, a force, a will, an aura and a formidable presence. It enraptures and awes and alights all who glance upon it. It is a power, strength, and a creator of beauty and inspirer of a thousand odes of love.

It brings beauty where it roams, whereby the air is made fragrant by its passing and the days sunnier by its coming. Beauty.  Beauty is goodness and as radiant as the rays of the sun, yet it is dark and melancholy as a starlit winter’s night ...

For I have known Beauty, God and Love, can recite lengthily odes to their grandeur and grace ...

  13. Yes, because the whole thing called beauty is so personal and relative that no single definition can encompass it all.

  14. No. I think beauty is an absolute and universal, that resonates with everyone, across all the cultures of the world. Purely physical attributes (often mistaken for beauty) may be culture-specific, but BEAUTY is universal.
