Do you find often yourself stereotyping people?

I often find myself labeling people when I walk into a place. I know it's wrong to judge a book by it's cover, but in this society, it's kind of hard to stop...

Does anyone else feel this way sometimes? That is, "That person is *insert label here*, so I shouldn't go talk to them."

I'm also curious to see what your views on the media influencing sterotypes are...does that make sense?

  1. Sadly, yeah, I do do that sometimes. Usually more with pretty "done up" girls...lame, huh?

I wouldn't be surprised if the media has some sort of effect on my stereotyping...case in point "Clueless" or "The Hills", but mostly I think it's my own personal experiences. Since I live full time at a Resort (Vail, hence the name) the gals here that dress themselves up on a regular basis are usually kinda stuck up and sorry to say it, but...dumb. So I assume that's how all of them will be. Which is totally wrong. Good question! I needed that reality check!
