  1. since Y!A is based on OPINION and not FACT, I'd think it would be hard to prove anyone wrong....man or woman.....

  2. Well alot of women who go into G&WS are one sided  for one .......It ...Is  WOMENS STUDIES!!  if they were looking for equality they would be in.....plain ol studies.    But what would be the fun in that.

Cmon women let me have it (here is where your answer is proven right)

  3. yes.

  4. I find to hard for PEOPLE in general to accept defeat when they are proven wrong, especially on the internet.

  5. Of course it will be removed, you dared to voice an opinion that doesn't meet with the approval of the fairer s*x and instead of commenting they will ask it to be removed.

  6. that's interesting I find the same trait among the anti feminist and traditionalist.

lol to man just below me.....women's studies is a real degree, and real classes in college.  The reason it exists...is b/c women are often left out of the "real studies"  As a history major i can list....and list ...and list women who are left out of the traditional male dominate history text books.  I would Love LOVE for women studies to go away....b/c that would mean that real studies were no longer sexist.

Edit: please name an example...where you were correct and no one could prove you wrong?  I've got one...and it's continually ignored.

Feminist relationships were the husband and wife have equal say in the marriage.  When compared to traditional relationships where the husband rules the home, the feminist relationships have lower divorce rates, most s*x, reported as being happier for both s*x's and by there very definition are the healthier of the two.  I also have the studies to back this up....but i cant get any traditionalist or anti-feminist to argue this they act like they didnt see the q.

If that is your only point it is a very very poor one...everyone from all the sides, has questions removed and everyone loses accounts here in GSW.

  7. The majority of women in Gender and Womens "social sciences" do not seem to undertand the concept of the scientific method and use the term science with great disregard as they are limited in education concerning rigourous scientific methodoology.

Morover, the use of scientific rigour in the advancement of their cause results in further consertanation amongst the femiinists who partake in this forum as they, in large part, lack the sophisticion/credentials to so much as understand scientific rigour and the consequences therfore.

Many find it more interesting to critique simple human foibles in syntax/spelling as some sort of 'judicous mannter' in which to judge others' educational prowess.

  8. I actually think the anti-religious/anti-God lot are worse - I've never read such an abusive, bigotted load of comments.

  9. When have we been proven wrong?

  10. Why is it so important to you to "prove women wrong"?  Why the adversarial, negative approach?  There are other ways to learn, discuss, and share information.

  11. Yes, but the men here are like that too. It is indeed human nature.

  12. if someone proves me wrong, then so be it. im happy to learn something new.

  13. yer an idiot.

Nobody finds it easy to be proven wrong regardless of gender.

    Good luck in life, bro.

  14. The additional details gave me a chuckle.

Honestly;  I think that most people on this board, no matter the category, find it hard to accept defeat when proven wrong.  Its human nature.

  15. I guess the real answer is...would it really matter if they were, and could you say the same for yourself?

  16. im always right....

    unless proven wrong...

and even then i know im right!

  17. As you have provided no examples of this and you are making a crass and sweeping generalisation I can only assume that opinion is more important to you than actual evidence. Get some evidence and this might be worth answering properly.

  18. Like Rose, I see it amongst A LOT/MOST/ALL groups [so many qualification statements]. No-one likes to lose credibility, but gracefully accepting defeat never harms credibility and often garners friends.
