Do you find that there are certain personality types you can't deal with?

Will you refuse to get to know a person because you don't like their personality? I try to get along with everyone but there is one personality I can't deal with, the overly aggressive. I just walk away from that kind. All perspectives welcome.

This is completely natural. I find paranoid people very difficult to cope with, either on a personal level or on a professional level. I have very deep compassion for schizophrenics, but they can be absolutely impossible. I have little sympathy for racists and bigots and religious fanatics, and wouldn't even consider marrying a lawyer, banker or real estate agent.

Hrmm. As a psycho-social analyst, I believe that in being able to work with or manipulate a particular class of person on the vast social personality wheel a certain level of conformation must be succeeded first off.

Whatever be the goal at hand, there's a psycho-social way in which to evaluate the necessary actions that come as a prerequisite to achieving that goal.

If the goal in which you aspire to attain is simply withstanding the presence of the individual, take it upon yourself to better get to know the person. See the encounter as one of casual converse and see to it that you can be comforting and in turn calm the emotions of which the individual portrays that you find distasteful. Go about the instance with the mindset of eliciting other "counter" emotions while suppressing the targeted "anger" emotion.

-Everyone needs acceptance, even loners. They themselves "accept" themselves as who they are. And they tend to need that same acceptance from others. And with acceptance, there's a bond, and with the bond there's an emotional connection that can be used as a powerful tool in manipulating the person's heart and mind.

Yes my bf and I totally clashed. I adored him but in the end we just fought too much.YOU don't have to like everyone. Just be respectful. That's enough.

Yes. I chose who I want as a friend. I decide who I want to be with. I refuse to be hurt by those people who will do so. I am not here to fix every ones problems. I am a valuable loving person. If I will get hurt..Step aside and let that hurt happen not. be happy with the gifts you have and can share with others.  Fix up your life and be ready to assist those you can. I others can not be in your lives path, than others can do it...

I am the opposite-I can not handle overly sensative or cowardly/weak  personalities.  Well I can handle them I just can't be kind to them. They bore me.

If I know someone is a bully, liar or a backstabber, I avoid them like the plague.  Life is too short!

ya i hate people who are always happy not like just happy like giddy and stupid happy like they fail a test ans say oh he he he he he he he he it bugs the c**p out of me there is a girl that was on the highschool VB team and she was like that i hated her so much!!!

I dislike "salesmen" type personalities-- all talk and flash without any substance or compassion.

People who like to throw their authority around and abuse it also REALLY annoy me, especially simple-minded people in authority that use company money for luncheons, have little conscience when it comes to stealing, are willing to break the law to get ahead, and otherwise unjust people who don't "earn" what they get.

Also, sneaky types who suck up to people's faces but judge and sabotage them behind their back.

Secretive people who don't want to tell you anything about themselves even simple things like how many kids they have.

Purists who have to call you out on everything if you make a grammatical or other minor mistake...they think it's the end of the world and it's THEIR job to inform you of the way things SHOULD be.

Artsy fartsy people who don't want you to eat meat, don't want you to wear leather, and will be horrified if you listen to pop music.

On the other hand, flamboyant and agressive people annoy me, the kind that have all celebrities for their top 8 on Myspace and don't have any "real life" friends. They just care about looks and talent and don't see people as human.

I guess that makes me pretty judgmental since there are so many types I don't care for!

yeah sometimes there are extremely annoying peeps also people who pretend to know all about punk music
