Whenever I drink alcohol in the evening, I can't get up in the morning. I don't even get drunk but I still have a hard time waking up and handling my business the next morning. Does anyone else experience this and what could be the cause of it?

  1. hangover

  2. Hangover!!!!!!!

  3. Hangover is the cause of it, although i never experience this myself, i always wake up early when I've been drinking. I'm generally so dehydrated when i wake up in the morning that i cant sleep. I have to get up and drink 10 pints of water before i feel slightly normal again. THEN I go back to sleep.

  4. It's a hangover. If you get trashed you will have a huge headache and be achy. yOu don't have to get really drunk to have a hangover. If it was a few drinks and maybe you were a bit tipsy you might feel a bit sluggish and droopy. Alcohol slows you down and your body still has to work to get rid of the toxins. When you get home after a party or drinking have a huge glass of water. This will help your body clean out your system. Your body needs water to flush out the alcohol. I then wait until it's gone through me and go to the toilet. This really helps. Go to bed. In the morning have another drink of water and then have a hot drink like coffee or hot chocolate.

  5. I feel groggy but not the usual head hurts, eyes can't open kind of hang over.  More like I'm just sleepy and I feel like a zombie.

  6. The problem is that you may be sleep, but your body does not rest enough- it's in distress. Some people have this problem more acutely than others. There isn't any magic way to get around it. You play life with the cards you were dealt. When it gets bad enough, you'll avoid drinking in the evening- maybe you've figured this out already. What if you just didn't use alcohol at all?

  7. Most people do have a problem the morning after, but it isn't always a hang over.

Alcohol is a depressant and like any good sleeping pill you're gonna be a little pokey in the morning.
