I was wondering what the point of streaming media could be? What use can it be if you can’t transfer files to the resident drive? My own personal reasoning- my PC's in the same room so have no use for an extended network (which isn’t really extended). Do you you actually use this feature regulary or find it useful?

  1. Very Very Useful

  2. Yeah, I get what youre saying. I configured mine to use media centre on a vista based pc in a different room. I never use it. Theres no point. I just go to my PC instead & turn that on lol. I have legs. Pretty extravagant feature. I wouldn’t run the system for anything than games anyway cause it get so hot.. I’d like to use the thing for its main intended usage before it fries :-)

  3. You stream media if you store it on a computer connected to a network.  like if you have lots of movies or music on your computer you can watch/listen to them through ur xbox without having to have a copy of it on ur xbox hard drive.  its very useful. if ur pc is in the same room it might be less useful.  anyway xbox's don't come with wireless networking built into them! come on microsoft, no one uses leads to connect things these days!

  4. You have to realize that everyone doesnt have it set up like yours and it can be very useful for people that dont have their computer and xbox in the same room.
