I'm doing a paper for my AP class about the influences of hobbes, locke, rousseau and montesquieu in the American government and principles, and I'm having a VERY hard time with hobbes. Now, I found that web page which shows a rather different view of hobbes, and interesting too! The thing is that I'm having a hard time finding other sources that state something similar, I found something on the britannica on-line, but I need a subscription and well.. no cash!

please heeeelp! I know lots of you have done papers similar to this one, enlighten me a little, please... and give your source, even if its yourself :)

  1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hobbe

pay particular attention to his theory of the social contract, and research it a bit because it has the biggest application to his ideas as they applied to the American government.
