Local politicians create commercials bashing the other candidates like a couple of 5th graders! ie "Jeff Merkley spent all of his campaign money on luxurious furniture for his office!" Do you also find this stupid? What do you think?

I think the example provided delivers a very valid message - fiscal irresponsibility - but, does so in a very negative way.

But it is kinda stupid to spend it on office furniture

Atleast he did not spend it on b**b implants for his secretary

I find Jeff merkley offensive. Especially his response that each taxpayer owned a little bit of every couch and desk.
