I was in a restaurant, eating a peaceful meal, when this well endowed woman came in with a young toddler (he was around 5) and they sat at the table next to me. I determined that the boy's name was Alex and the woman's name was simply "Mom" by their conversation, which was loud. So---Alex kept whining about how hungry he was, over and over, and suddenly "Mom" pulled out one of her b*****s and Alex started to suckle. I was amazed and shocked and couldn't help but notice, and even stare. The woman looked at me and said "Why doncha take a picture, it'll last longer"? Do you consider my behavior rude and boorish??

  1. YOU should have asked her if you could suck on the other teat!!!

  2. If that is all you did, than no, I think you acted as most people would have.  I am not sure what a kid that old is doing still breast feeding...maybe she can't afford dinner for him.  I think it is fine for mothers to breast feed in public, but I think they should cover it up...we should not have to be subjected to looking at that while eating.

  3. No I find it weird that she would breastfeed a child in a restaurant while others are eating. The kid needs to learn manners.

  4. I feel this is something that we are going to have to accept ,i suppose we all got to go with the times but certain things are a bit hard to cope with

  5. No, it was shocking and inappropriate what she did, especially the kid being FIVE. But, from the way you explained everything I'm not surprised by her equally shocking and rude reaction to you, she has no self awareness and is low class.

  6. I think it's a sad thing when society sees it as unnatural for a mother to nourish her child in public.

  7. that is weird ! anyone would look and get shocked ,but maybe u just took long till u got ur eyes off of her and the kid , but i think she was rude too .

  8. No.

If she's gonna yank one out in public she should be accepting of the fact that some folks are going to be flabbergasted.

And since she invited you to take a picture, I'd feel obligated to do so.

Put posting such on the net would be rude and boorish.

  9. i know what you mean when my cat had her one surviving kitten she was breast feeding all over the house... she just throw herself any where in the middle of the kitchen floor or the couch ....she had no respect....I mean i bought her a nice cardboard box to do such things....

simply awful...makes you kinda hate s*x..

  10. If you stared a long time it would be rude, but I think it was more rude of her to whip it right out and not be discreet about it.  Now do not get me wrong I am all for breastfeeding mothers, but if this child was 5 years old then I think that is a bit too old to be breast fed.  None of the friends I have that breastfeed have fed them THAT long!
