This statement is kind of true: we can always hide from ourselves, not be who we are and put on an act, basically not face the real "us". We can also hide from the world, but only occasionally, we would have to go out and face it eventually, mind you, if we put on an act and pretend to be someone else when we go out and face the world, then essentially, perhaps we can do both at once. However, i notice the "OR" in your statement which indicates that you mean we can either do one or the other, in thinking a bit more deeply, i think it means that we can live a life in the world in a kind of pretence, or live like we really are but not face the world...

No, I don't agree with this statement.  I firmly believe that you can hide from entire world, but you cannot hide from yourself.  How much you pretend, you cannot run away from your real self or what you are.

In general no one can hide a thing, they can lie and deny or shut up and that is about all,  that leaves people wondering what they are doing, I think that is what I might do very soon try to shut up and hide and then again that is almost nearly impossible for me.

this statement elicits no answer or at least a concrete answer for me, i just do believe that we are trying to hide ourselves from the world and hiding ourselves to ourselves, but the idea is circular you cannot hide from what is a part of you, you cannot hide in the facade of the world you always are opening up to it whether you choose to speak or not.

I think it is true. I have never thought of that. Let's see: you refuse to see what's inside of you, you constantly run from yourself. Where can you hide? Among people, being like them, doing what they do, thinking like them, refusing your own uniqueness.

Second scenario: you hide from the rest of the world, you don't let yourself be discovered by them, you don't want them to see the real you. Where can you hide? Inside of you, where no one can reach.

Third scenario: you constantly run from yourself trying to hide in the crowd, but you can't hide there because you run from them trying to hide inside of you, a "you" from which you're running. And here's another truth: you can run, but you can't hide.

In conclusion, your assertion is true. However, there can be cases of people trying to hide from both themselves and the rest of the world. The ones who succeed in doing so are put in asylums and labeled "crazy".

Yes, I believe that you can hide from yourself by being in denail or scared to know you from within. If you are afraid to do something or learn something, then you will not know if you enjoy it or disliked it. I feel that you are hiding from yourself.

Of course you can hide from the world but for how long. I believe that you can hide to a certain extent. You may hide but someone or something will see you in due time.
