Do you find your baby starts to move more when you place your hand on your belly?

As soon as i put my hand on my bare belly i find the baby starts moving a great deal more...is it possible that a baby can respond to the touch of a hand/palm on the hand?

  1. of course (: also the baby feels you pushing on it. im 24 weeks and my baby doesnt like any pressure on my stomach.


  2. I never found putting my hand on my belly made it move, but he always kicks like crazy when I lay on my side. I can also get him to move when I push back on him with my hands.  32 weeks

  3. Mine does the EXACT opposite. He stops.

    When I was in L&D for preterm contractions they had fetal monitors on and his movements changed with the fetal monitors. The nurse said they see that a lot and it's possibly from the pressure of the fetal monitors.
