I'm in Pittsburgh, and last spring (other than one co-worker), if I would mention Barnsley F.C."s run through the F.A. Cup competition, people would look at me like I had a third eye. Do any of you follow sports overseas? Even more interesting, do any of you overseas Y!A'ers have any interest in American Major League Baseball, NFL, NBA, NHL, or NASCAR, or NCAA Collegiate sports?

What teams...individuals capture your interest?

  1. I follow the FA Premier League and the Spanish La Liga. I'm an american Sevilla fan and was pissed off when Tottenham stole our manager, Ramos. I have a friend who's a Tottenham fan and he held that over my head all the way to their Carling Cup win.

But, yeah, we're the only ones who follow european football. It's hard to find anyone over here who does.

  2. I live in the UK, and to be honest...our sports suck, i'd much prefer to watch the NHL or NFL over any of our sports here, football and cricket are far too boring, used to watch my local football team (soccer to you folks) .... which was pretty fun
