Do you forsee a time when energy costs/usage will be applied on a reverse sliding scale?

At this moment in time in the UK energy suppliers allow a cheaper cost per unit of energy after a (company) set amount of energy is used.

Will the time come when the extra units of energy used (after set amount) attracts a higher premium per unit used instead.

  1. I think it's inevitable. Indeed, I think there will be set limits for domestic and business customers that can't be exceeded at all. Once the oil & gas prices have gone beyond reach, the existing and planned alternatives will only ever supply a fraction of future demand and the myriad government and emergency services will have priority. This will happen sooner than most people think.
