Do you get any international news in the USA ? or is all just american propoganda that u hear ?

cause the last I saw, it was Sweden, Canada, Great Briatain, Australia, Germany, Switzerland and many other western countries that were all ahead of the US (like# 17) on a list of best places to live in terms of health care, education and several other key indicators of quality of life and the places people picked most as where they would like to live...wake up American's, you just wear ur ignorance on ur sleeve, and so proudly too...it's comical !

Ignorance would be generalizing 300 million people into one group and assuming all of us are the same.  I would agree in saying that most Americans are not as aware on some things as they should be, but you know what we're still doing ok for ourselves.  We get international news and yes some of us are extremely aware of the world.  I'm sure if you and I went head to head on international affairs, judging by the openness exuding from your question, I will pretty much own you! We still have the best universities in the world, the best healthcare in the world (although not public) and one of the greatest levels of social mobility in the world (go look it up).  We don't wear our pride on our sleeves but at the same time, we're not ashamed to say we are Americans (for more reference to that, look up nationalism in Germany).

Other then that, please be respectful and appreciate the fact that the computer your using, the internet your connecting with and the website your on were all invented by Americans for the world ...

Actually if you watch most of our news, it is bashing America as well. I still would rather live here than any other nation, and I have traveled out of the US multiple times. Are we perfect? far from it, but no country is perfect.

We get plenty of news...but until now, I didn't know so many were jealous of the U.S. After all, why would you even care if you are so much better? And if you truly are better you wouldn't need to post it in a forum. Sorry if my answer didn't meet your expectations, but your question was just a rant.

Without doubt the United States is the best place to live.  True that several other countries are rated best in terms of general health care, education , etc., but that is for a general population that has things handed to them.  The United States has the largest economy, most advanced military…..in simple terms most power. Our citizens have the ability to rise from nothing and obtain the best of all things (doctors, schools, etc. ). We are world leaders for a reason. Our freedoms grant us rites citizens from other countries will never understand.  So next time your watching yet another American movie hit or TV show, try not to let jealousy of our nation creep in, just watch and enjoy.  To answer your question, we do get international news. The difference is that it does not make us jealous.  Americans aren’t really that concerned with other countries. Sure we enjoy other countries cultures, but we don’t get hold the contempt others hold for us. I guess when your happy with what you got, you don’t have to go looking over the fence.
