  1. Actually everyone here who said that it is illegal is wrong.  It is not illegal to get money for expenses that you incurred while pregnant.  The adoptive parents can reimburse you and it is very legal.  It is also not selling your baby to ask for those expenses.

If you are going to put your child up for adoption consider that decision very carefully because it is a lifelong decision.  You will have to live with it.  There is no turning back except when the child is of age he or she may come find you.  Otherwise it is final.  Your rights are terminated after you sign the papers.

Adoption is a loving choice but also a very difficult one.  How do I know this?  I did it at 21, 20 years ago.

  2. NOPE, that is illegal!

  3. no y would u

  4. No .. all rights to the child are dissolved. And since the birth parents aren't raising the child... they get NO support. Adoptive parents wouldn't receive support.. because they are now solely responsible for the child.Unless of course the adoptive parents divorced and then they would pay support to the parent with the child the majority of the time.

  5. you don't get any money, but you can get your medical costs paid for by the adoptive family/agency in some cases.

  6. no.. but a foster parent does.

  7. Nope, this would be illegal and tatamount to baby selling.

The adoptive parents, however, will generally provide for the prenatal and neonatal care of the birth mother and sometimes provide for her while she's pregnant.  Her pregnancy expenses are usually covered by the adoptive parents, too.

  8. I would just like to say that people are quick to judge.

But no you don't get money for your child being adopted.

It's not about "why are you having a baby if you don't want it" Things happen and with life experience you'll understand that. If you are putting a child up for adoption good luck. It's the hardest thing you will do in your life but could be potentionally the best thing you do for that child. It depends on your situation.

  9. no and and there's no reason you should. you can't sell your kids. otherwise, there'd be no end so welfare monkeys just spewing them out every 9 months.

  10. No, why would you do that? Stay with your child or you will regret for the rest of your life.

  11. You can't make money off of putting your child up for adoption. However, if you feel that you are not suitable for parenthood, and neither is you partner, than adoption may be your best bet. Rasing a child is a huge life changing resposibility, and no matter how much money you save or how long you wait to have children, you'll never be truely prepared. I know this because I have two girls less than a year apart. The "Road of Parenthood" is a bumpy but very fun and adventourus ride... that is if you are up for the challenge.

  12. That would be the equivalent of selling your child, and it's not legal. If you want to consider money, think of all you will save by not spending it on the child you'd be raising if you kept it...so you do end up with more money in the long run, but no money exchanges hands when you decide to terminate your parental rights and free your child to be raised by others.

  13. no

  14. In the US, if any money changes hands during the course of adoption between the bio family & adoptive family, it could cause the adoption to be illegal.  There are strict rules governing this type of thing in the US.

Some private adoptions can involve payment to the bio-family for medical needs, living expenses, etc., but it is strictly regulated.  I would highly suggest contacting an adoption agency or adoption attorney to find out more info.

  15. Why would you even think of that that's just wrong in so many ways!!! Then you shouldn't be a parent!!

  16. Almost everyone here is wrong.  However, if there is any indication that the reason you are putting your child up for adoption is to make money, then that may be cause for issues.  You can be reimbursed for expenses incurred during the pregnancy, as well as reasonable lost wages.  The money is sent through the lawyers, so the adoptive parents are not "paying for" or "buying" a child.

  17. SELL UR CHILD thats harsh. But no u don't get money u get money if u foster care a child. The only thing u get for giving up your child is a lost of time and a sad token when u die.

  18. You should not never put you kids up for adoption. money is not ever thing okay

  19. I agree with what Gatinha said... Why would you want to give your child up for adoption?? What were you thinking?? If you were planning to do that, why in the world were you having a child?? Children are the most precious thing to have... You will regret this for the rest of your life if you give your child up... You will not get money but the foster parents will get the money to buy stuffs for what your child needs.. Think really hard and long about this... Ask yourself, Do I really want to do this?? What will my child think of me?? Will he/she keep in touch with me or want anything to do with me??  You really got to think about it... Good luck!!  I hope you decide to keep your child..

  20. goe see a doctor and councillor or something,if your preg, get some help.and i hope the next $ question you ask is something like"how much is a pram or nappies etc"you shouldnt b robbed of becoming a parent,it can b wonderful and challenging..wotever your issues are if your for real they can be sorted with professional help and support groups..family services can assist with fostering your child until you sort yourself out.thats not so permanent..goodluck.i hope you got heart...

  21. No But dont! if you do u will make the biggest mistake of your life!

  22. if you  are pregnant and you go to a private adoption agency you can pick your child parents. They can't give you money but they can and do pay for your care. So they pay for the doctor and hospital stay and sometimes your food and shelter while pregnant. Then when the child is born you get to bring the child home right from the hospital. but you don't  get paid

  23. is that what you want to do ? and why would you do that? just for the money.

  24. so you will sell your kid??????? i have not clue/...
