Do you get better mileage by using the paddle shifters on an automatic transmission car?

I drive an automatic Honda Fit Sport and it has paddle shifters on the steering wheel. I'm wondering if you can get better mileage if you use the paddle shifters as opposed to leaving the car in automatic mode.

it will probably be the same. It would still be more fun to use the paddle shifters.

I shift manually in my automatic and I have no noticeable difference in gas consumption.

uh it would if you put the car in a higher gear than what the auto put you in but that can be damaging to your engine

No offense meant , but the automatic trans can probably shift more economically  than you could hope to.
