Question:

Do you get depressed after concerts?

I go to a lot of concerts and after each one, I always am a bit melancholy for a few days afterwards. Not sure if it is a deep longing to live the life of a rockstar or what? By the way, I can't say that I can sing or have any musical talent, but I do love music...So, I am not sure what this sadness is about....Does anyone else feel this way?

  1. I think you know you are just wanting someone to say hey its your destiny to go be a rockstar.

  2. No you get really hi-per and really tired i had a sour throuth for screaming a lot.....

  3. Maybe is it a side effect of all the adrenaline that shoots out of your brain during the concert. I have heard coaches and players talk about feeling like this after winning a championship

  4. I don't go to concerts anymore. I do remember a general let down feeling after one however. but it didn't last very long. its just that "is that all there is?" feeling.

  5. yah, i go to a lot of shows, and usually there is one song they play that if i hear it afterwords i just burt into tears. its really strange.

  6. I've never been to a concert before, but I often feel depressed after doing something exciting, like going on a long trip or out shopping or out to eat. I guess I kind of feel like my life's not as full as exciting things as I always hoped it would be. Good times seem to last only a short time and then it's back to school or work or boring days at home.

  7. Actually yes. It's mainly because I enjoy the concerts and everytime I do something I used to enjoy to try to cheer myself up, I just get even more depressed after o_o

  8. Oh yeah, I can totally relate.  I love music and get so psyched before the concert and then when it is over, I sit in my seat and wish it was not over.  I even have a hard time leaving the concert stadium.

Sometimes what helps is listening to the music of the band right after I leave, like in the car on the way home...just to keep the moment alive.

  9. I usually do as well because most of the time when I go it's to rock concerts and I'm usually on the floor.  Most of the time it is really warm on the floor and people pushing so it takes alot of energy out of you.  It's also usually a late night by the time the show is over and you come down from the high of the concert and actually fall asleep most of the time for me it isnt until 2-3 in the morning.  So it usually takes me a couple days to build my energy level back up.
