Do you get double the protection if you use two different kinds of toothpaste at once?

I was wondering if using 2 different kinds of toothpaste (for example: Tartar protection and Whitening) works better than just using one.

Or, does it not matter?

  1. Not really.

In order to get a higher level of protection against cavities you need to use a prescription toothpaste.

The most important thing is to get them cleaned regularly as you will get build up - (plaque (soft sticky - you brush off), tartar (hard buildup - old plaque that gets cement like that needs to be removed with an instrument) and stain. Once those are removed you need to brush your teeth 2-3 times a day for 2 minutes and floss. It is more important how long and how well you brush for than the paste.

    Hope that helps!
