I am hoping to get a 500pm flat, but have really low income, and am applying for housing benefit- how much might I get per week? I don't understand what is on the website. And are there other ways I can get more money (don't say work more, I am a full time college student), so really I am talking about other benefits?

You cannot usually get Housing Benefit if you are a full-time student, unless you are disabled or have children.

why dont you share?  its MUCH cheaper

  2. Full time students cannot claim housing benefit, JSA or income support (unless disabled or a parent) so no you will not get any help. Your student loan is supposed to cover rent etc.  ÃƒÂ‚£500 per month is a lot of money, as a single person even if you were entitled to housing benefit you are unlikely to get anywhere near that.
