i get so offended i mean how can America be what it is now if there was no immigrants

who work at the Fields and other hard job would you work in those conditions???

and what will you change about working at the hard works??

That person said nothing about immigrants who can to the US legally. If you come to the US legally them God bless you. But, if you hopped the border and are here illegally then shame on you. Please look at the link to learn some real facts.

Not every one is mean about illegal immigrants.  There are a lot of mixed opinions.  It is a complex problem that is being exacerbated by the Mexican Government (since most of the illegals are from Mexico) and our antiquated immigration system.  We do need people who are willing to do manual labor--however they should be here legally--not breaking our laws.  Unfortunately, our laws right now don't make that easy, but that is still no excuse.  As a person who lives here in Texas, I can tell you that the problem is huge.  Since the illegals have to stay out of the law's reach, they are very easily manipulated and exploited by employers who know they won't report them for any violations.  And every summer, we have to hear the horrible news about the illegals that paid someone to sneak them into the country and then they all died because they were all packed liked sardines in the back of a hot truck or were taken as s*x slaves!

They also don't have health care, so they run to the emergency rooms for every little thing because they don't have a regular doctor.  It makes going to the ER a living h**l, not to mention the fact that it drains the communities resources.  Hospitals for smaller towns near the border have had to close because of all the illegals.

The Mexican Government is the worst offender.  Mexico is a beautiful country with lots of natural resources and friendly people.  There is no reason it should not be a prosperous country where it's own citizens want to live--but because of all the corruption and what not--it's a mess where they don't even care about their own people.  You don't see Canadians rushing the border.

There are both sides to this as there always is.  Most of the poor illegals want a better life.  But, the law is still the law.

Because they want our MONEY.

Mexicans come here because our money goes further in their country.

I'm not racist, but I think it's wrong of them to come to our country, cause us to have to learn THEIR language in OUR country, and act like they own everything.

The Mexicans in my school act like they own the place. " This is our school", " Brown pride, you're white trash ", " You should go to our country it's so much better than yours ", if their country is so much better, then why are they here??? To USE our money. Nothing more.

Our country is clearly more controlled than Mexico, too.

I hear a lot of Mexicans at my school say that they come here because too many people are killed and there is nothing done about it.

So, I'm fine with them as long as they are here legally.

But if they hopped the border, then h**l yea I'll call 'em a border jumper and tell them to go back!

I really struggle with this too being a child of an immigrant (my mother was a war baby from England) I'm not always sure if its actually them being here as opposed to how they are being here that is the problem.  You're right, America was built by immigrants and our country wouldn't be what it is now without them.  But what is happening is that  the illegal immigrants are coming here and not paying into the system (taxes) but they are taking out of the system (welfare, etc).  Soon, the system will run out of money.  If you do some research, you can find American towns by the border that are being run into the ground b/c people are coming from mexico and having their babies in the hospitals and the taxpayers are picking up the bill b/c they have no $ and no insurance.  I would imagine, though, that this kind of stuff happened years ago when desperate people came to America to Ellis Island.  It is happening on such a large scale now though.  I don't know.  I have no problem with them being here, but I feel like they need to do it legally and pay taxes like everyone else. And if I have said anything to offend, I apologize.

I think very few people hold anything on immigrants. These people all came to this country legally and wanted to become US citizens.

We say 'go back where you came from' to ILLEGAL immigrants. Theres a very big difference. ILLEGAL immigrants have come here to take jobs. To prove that americans will do any job out there here:

So 595 illegal immigrants were arrested, and hundreds of people lined up in the heat to get a job.

There are many problems with illegal immigrants.

The united states has an economy that grows roughly 8% a year. We calculate that amount of new workers and people leaving the work force to find out how many legal immigrants we can bring in. If we bring in more legal immigrants then we have jobs, you begin to have very high unemployment. Illegal immigrants cannot be calculated in this. There is no way the economy can keep growing when you have so many unemployed people.

Next. We have no idea who is coming to the country. We spend $50 billion a year on homeland security, and whos to say one of these illegal aliens isnt a terrorist? right now, we could have 10 million terrorist living in this country planing a massive attack.

Illegal immigrants cannot pay taxes, but they still require the use of emergency services, schools, and yes, welfare (state only). This means, the legal residents have less protection.. the people paying for the services have less access to them.

Illegal immigration is a very serious problem, and perhaps, by heckling these people, we can show them they are not wanted, and they will leave.

I agree that people shouldn't say "bad" things about immigrants. I however do see a problem with illegal immigrants that disregard our laws, health-care system, culture, language,and schools. I especially have a problem with the parasitic illegals that have more children than they can afford and hand me the bills like I give a c**p. I would just throw it back at them but its a redistribution of wealth and there for comes out of our taxes. If I wanted a pet I would adopt a dog.

I'm mexican, PhD student in the US, lived in Mexico in a middle class family all my life. When people try to "offend" me through racist statements, I get offended but not by the fact they're mexican, but by the fact that they're people that have needs. When I lived in Mexico, my friends and family all had pretty much decent jobs, and I didn't knew anyone that moved to the US as an illegal immigrant. However, I feel offended not because they're people from my country, but because they're people.

On the other hand, thanks to these people prices of a lot of goods remain somehow low. Thanks to the fact that their wages are lower than most people. In fact, all those people that ask them to go back where they came from, would probably not be able to afford any of the products that use mexican (or illegal) hands simply because by using "legal" labor costs will simple skyrocket.

Finally, immigration (illegal) is an economic problem. Law of supply and demand, as easy as that. I'm against illegal immigration, so I think the US should do something, like guest worker visa or something like that, to the people that wanna work and go back (as I assume most of those people). I think it is not a favor, it is convenient for both parties. However, political issues blinfold everyone. Shameful.
