  1. I get double time when I work overtime. the only hours that I'm paid overtime are for those hours worked over 40 hours per week.

  2. The following is taken from an ATO guide to employers who must pay super for their employees:

    Ordinary time earnings

You must pay a minimum of 9% of your employee’s earnings

base. For most employees, their earnings base is their ordinary

time earnings. This generally means the amount they earn for

their ordinary hours of work, including:

    ■ over-award payments

    ■ commissions

    ■ allowances, and

    ■ paid leave.

Ordinary time earnings does not include overtime that is paid

for work performed outside of ordinary hours.

  3. Super is only paid on your base wage, not on overtime.

But I agree with the other answerer ~ it sounds like you are getting ripped off on your overtime if you are working those hours.

Seriously, check with your union, or the DLI.

    Cheers :-)

  4. Short answer is NO only on the first 38 hours. I have a question for you who do you work for they can't legally pay time and a half for all your overtime. If your in a union talk to them if not you should look at joining one.

  5. No you don't get super for overtime just for your normal hours. Overtime is time and a half for the first 2 hours and double time after that.

  6. Dept of labor
