I got pulled over in NYC for making a left turn in a "no left turn lane." My ticket is $60. Do they take points off my license? Could I take a "defensive driving course" to vanquish it?

  1. get points added to your lic. usually classes r for major offensives, like speeding, wreckless driving etc.  Had to take a course online for 25 over speed in Illinois.

  2. You CAN get points reduced by taking traffic school/defensive driving depending on what state you are in. In Texas, taking defensive driving will dismiss a ticket, in FL it can take points off your license, etc... You should check with the court that issued the ticket AND you can check at http://www.gototrafficschool.com/registe... where you can put in the State, County, and Court, and it will show the available options.

  3. If you got the points, you got the points.  The course will benefit your driving skills and knowledge but will not eliminate the points(but your chances of making an error are reduced)

  4. yes all traffic offense have some kind of points that adds to your name.

  5. the points get added to ur record.

    the more points, the worse.
