Do you get the full advantage of a Blu-Ray player running it on a 720p LCD TV via component cables?

  1. Technically speaking the best would be 1080p with an hdmi cable, but many professionals say that 720p on hdmi or composite is also comparable to 1080i. It all sort of depends on what you like. Also note that some players dont event support 1080p jst 1080i and same thing with the tv it may only go up to 1080i. Most pros say to stick with 720p if your tv doesnt support 1080p.


  2. The only way to get full advantage of Blu-Ray is to have a 1080p TV with HDMI cable
