  1. No where near as much as FOX news wants McCain to win! WOW talk about propaganda, how do Americans tolerate their lies?

  2. I don;t think the other channels are any different. Having watched ITV and Sky the news is chock full of Obama and his presidential nomination

  3. It certainly looks that way.....It resembles the Thacher days everyone was keen to see someone new rather than understanding their policy's.

  4. They will be showing footage of the 'other fella' today because he's announcing who his vice president is today, possibly someone with a heart beat.  His camp has been quiet which is why all the news at the minute is for Obama.

I think the rest of the world would be seriously concerned if the US did vote in another republican after the gobshite messed up world politics for the last 8 years, their own economy and good international relations.......but it wouldn't surprise me if they did.

  5. Totally agree - am sick of their biased reporting. They rarely show any footage of McCain!!

  6. After the Republicans won two elections due to vote rigging is it any wonder?

  7. No, I have not got that impression.I think BBC is a well respected unbiased news source.Obama got the attention of the whole world not just BBC, because he is the first american black to be nominated to presidential election

  8. All the TV channels love him. It is because he is Black. Sorry and all that, but it is.

  9. Yes, just a bit.

But quite frankly, with the current US government as diabolical as it is, I dont care.

  10. It.s boring there must be more news than yankee politics

  11. most of Europe does

  12. I say no to a brown president

  13. I think so. It is getting nauseating. We all know how pc BBC are. If he wasn't black you wouldn't hear a word about him.

  14. I think the worlds press and TV is concentrating on Obama, almost a foregone conclusion it seams that they know the outcome

Mcains war stance and support of Bush has alienated him from the worlds wishes

  15. so much of our press is steeped in biased censored propaganda ! paul pot comes to mind

  16. Me thinks you are too wise oh furry one lol! :)

  17. The whole world wants Obama to win because they are tired of dealing with the current administration. The decisions our government makes effects the whole world we are that much of an influence on the world. And the current administration has failed the world.

  18. Can they be any clearer? They love the American Democrat party because they are one in the same.

  19. The media reporting is exactly the same here in Spain and it has been since the beginning.

I imagine every Spaniard knows who Obama is but a lot would be hard pressed to identify McCain as he´s not so visible in the papers and on television.

Leaving aside the politics I think it has a lot to do with being more "media friendly".... physically more attractive and possibly being in opposition more given to headline grabbing soundbites.

At the end of the day no matter what kind of coverage we see in Europe, unfortunately for us we can´t vote in these elections. We just have to suffer the outcome!!!

  20. all of europe, in fact all of the rest of the world wants obama to win.

  21. Yes agree 100% with the questioner. Remember the last Election over there where there was just as strong a desire in the UK to see Bush toppled by Kerry but then Kerry got very little publicity over this side of pond compared to Bush . So there does indeed seem to be an ulterior motion this time regarding the ultra excessive time on UK TV given to Obama though exactly what that ulterior motive is I am not really sure.( I note at least Yahoo have never heard of Obama as its new spell checker has just bollocked me with its "oops" saying that there is no such word as obama and ordered me to correct my spelling mistake to ABM. So Yahoo management at least do not seem to have been influenced by all this BBC propaganda?.)

  22. The whole world wants Obama to win but unfortunately it's only the American votes that count. Here comes McSame and WW3!

  23. I guess the BBC is finally getting with the times and sees a good thing is happening in the US.  Go Brits!

  24. i havn't heard of anyone going against him. i think he might be the only candidate. But who cares everyone knows its all currupt anyway, its all done for publicity

  25. Excellent question

i have yet to see mccain on the bbc news

    its all about obama...

  26. Is it a bad thing? What have the Republican party done for us? Apart from Iraq, oil prices sky high, ruined the global economy oh and aquaducts. lol.

John McCain is the Rep guy and Obama is the way forward. Vote Democrate,  same as the Tories need to be voted in as soon as we get chance here.

    All change , all change!!

  27. Well the Democratic convention is a "current event" this week. BBC News reports current events as they are news. Next week will be the Republican convention. Let's see if whats-his-name gets a mention when next week is current.
