Do you get the same results when using something which is fried when testing for osmosis?

If fried potatoes were used instead of raw potatoes, would you get the same observations?

  1. That entirely depends upon what variables you are testing for, but I would suspect very different results.  Osmosis is the diffusion of water through a selectively permeable membrane from an area of higher concentration to an area of lower concentration.

    Since the water content of raw potatoes is going to be different from that of fried potatoes, I would suspect a difference, though I do not know how exactly you would conduct such an experiment.
