Do you get tired of people ..?

Telling us what a womens "role" should be?Or what a "real" or "normal" women is.

Women should live they way they want to, and not what society expects, do you agree?

Yes. It shows me that we are not even close to equality there.

I agree that women (and men...) should be free to choose the way they want to live their lives, and shouldn't be forced into a role which they are unhappy with.

But that doesn't mean we should discount the evidence that shows the natural differences between men and women. Some people don't fit gender stereotypes, but a few exceptions doesn't mean the world should be gender neutral.

It's possible to celebrate the differences between men and women without taking away equal opportunity.

I am certainly tired of hearing the illogical argument that just because I don't kowtow to moldy Mother Feminism and her minions, I must be a submissive woman of epic proportions hellbent on ridding women of their right to vote. This sort of intellectual dishonesty is the exact reason why I despise feminism.

Everyone should be able to be who they want with out catching c**p from other people. As long as what you are is not criminal, then others need to leave you alone to make your own choices. Its up to you to deal with the consequences.

Yes, it gets a bit dull sometimes here. But in real life nobody has ever told me what a 'woman's role' is. I'd split my sides laughing if they did.

yeah the problem is that as men we have a natural instict to control so we always feel (naturally) that we know whats best for a woman, but smart men use the civilised part of their brain and think, women are just as smart and mature as men, i wouldnt want someone controlling me..... so thats like how i think so i dont control women at all, i respect them :)

theyre independant and you as an individual is the only person in the world that knows whats best for you, and anyone who thinks they know better than you, are uneducated bullies

Agreed.  Frankly, I think some people need to mind their own business.  Some people are way too nosy, and way too preoccupied with how other people are living their lives.

I do get tired of it.  

I am tired of being told that because I am a homemaker  I have no ambition...that because I don't feel the need to be combative that I am a doormat....that because I have children I am nothing more than a "baby making machine"....that because I enjoy taking care of home I am nothing more than an indentured servant....
