Whenever I tell people I drink alone sometimes at home, they say things like "oh how sad" or "you should come over and drink with me" lol but really I don't mind. I don't really have too many friends and I don't want to drive home drunk because I hate sleeping over peoples houses. So whats wrong with that??? Am I the only one?

  1. Toasty as in getting quite drunk or buzzed? if you drink for the effect you have to keep it in check.

I like to have a beer or 2 after work, and not every day, sometimes I'll have more and get drunk when I'm by myself but if you find yourself getting quite drunk 2 days in a row, or more than once a week even I would want to stop and say wait a minute... keep that in check, go without for a few weeks and prove you can. You don't want to become dependent on it because your life will deteriorate around you.

-they say drinking in moderation can be beneficial but they are talking one glass of wine, one ounce of spirits, one beer a day. -cheers!

  2. I am a social drinker.  I don't emjoy drinking alone.

  3. I personally see nothing wrong with that. Sometimes after work i get a beer or two and drink it while surfing the net or working at home. A glass of wine is also a good thing before each meal. It depends on why you're doing it, but i hardly see something wrong with this.

  4. There is nothing wrong with that!  It makes stumbling to your bed much easier ;o)  Sometimes I will rent a couple funny movies and drink - I just laugh out loud!  If I'm not in the mood to get dressed up to go out, or just want to have a couple drinks I do!  I give you BIG KUDOS for not drinking & driving!  Cheers!!

  5. No youre not alone. I sometimes get whacked 3or4 times a week. I like to play my online video game and catch a buzz. And you are right I dont like sleeping at other folks houses. I like my own bed. Those people who say dont drink alone are insecure. I do other things alone, so why not that? Be your own person, dont worry what other folks think, also you dont have to buy others drinks when you by yourself.

  6. I never drink alone because I don't drink for effect. I'm not seeking to get anything out of it -- and thus it becomes a social event for me. Dinner out with friends or family, a cocktail party, having a guest over, is the time I break out wine and spirits.  It isn't that I say I should not drink alone, but because it has more social overtones to me than it does "getting buzzed" overtones, it just never occurs to me to drink alone.  I wouldn't find it enjoyable.
