Do you get your Sick Pay when you quit?

My mother is thinking that she will get all the unused sick pay paid to her on her last check because she quit her job in Iowa. She has over a grand in sick pay left. Will she actually get this?

Not for most corporations. you will only get accrued vacation personal and floating vacation days that you worked through
