Do you get your periods EVERY month?

I'm 14 and I haven't started mine yet XD

and im just curious because that would suck to have it every month.

Well, if someone had just started they're period near the end of the month and they're still irregular, then one month they might not get it and it could carry onto the next month.

yes, you get it EVERY month. unless you are on certain types of birth control. most girls get their period every month though. it's like clockwork. it sucks, but you get used to it and it just becomes a part of "everyday" life.

I do, like I only once skipped a period, and thats when I started birth control. However, I have a friend who goes months at a time with periods..

and shes almost 17, and has had her period for a few years now.

Yes you get it every month.  Some day you might be happy when your period arrives.  It is not a bad thing it is part of being a woman.  You get use to it.  It is part of a woman's life.

Most girls who have first begun their period will be very irregukar, and have one every 2-3 or even 4 months, however some girls may have them every 2-3 weeks, it really depends on the girl.

However, when you have been having periods for a long time, then you will settle into a patttern, and yes, once a month is the cycle. Each period lasting from 3-10 days depending on the girl.
