I do.  I'll admit it:)  I don't know how or why they are begging for money, but maybe they just need a little kindness....I don't have a lot to give but I will give some...

No!!! Most of them, sad to say, are crack heads/and

or alcoholics. Why would you want to support their

"disease"?

I used to in the winter along with a package with cleaning (toothbrush, paste, comb.

Now I will buy food when I see someone digging in the trash or something not bothering people.

Those with signs ask for food but don;t always want it.

For the most part I just pass on. I walk past a community center everyday between my parking garage and the building I work in. They give out free food and clothes, so I just tell them how to get there.  But sometimes I just feel bad and give something. I suppose it makes me feel better more than it does them.

I don't give money to panhandlers, but I do make donations to charities that help them.  I feel that my dollars stretch further when combined with other donations.

Sometimes. Last summer on a hot day, a down and out looking guy was at a stoplight and was holding up a sign that said something to the effect that he was hot and wanted cash so he could buy beer. I admired his honesty so much that I  gave him a enough $$$ for him to enjoy several.
