When they deliver your pizza, do you give them some sort of tip, or just the exact cost of the pizza and with whatever else you ordered along with it???

  1. at least two dollars

  2. i tip them. They had to drive to ur house to bring u ur food cause ur were being lazy and most peeps wouldn't do that kinda stuff unless they need the mula.( plus it polite.)

  3. Here's the thing with pizza delivery people - they are not the same as regular servers in a restaurant. Minimum wage for servers is $3.50 an hour. Minimum wage for delivery people is $7.00 an hour. Delivery people make tips, but are not always expected to. Servers, if the service is acceptable, are expected to make tips.

It depends on the situation for me - the greater number of pizzas delivered, the greater chance of a tip. If the delivery person is nice, the greater chance of a tip. The only time I automatically tip a pizza delivery person is if it is snowing or raining outside. Then, I tip 10% of the bill.

  4. Always a tip...it's expected and standard procedure.  If my pizza is $15.00, I give at least $2 or $3.  They don't get paid much and gas is $3.69 a gal!

  5. I always tip $2.  Don't know where I learned that, but I do.  But I never order more than 2 pizzas and maybe breadsticks.  If I was ordering more than that, I'd tip a little more.

  6. Of course you tip!  They are providing you the service of at home delivery...saving you a trip to the restaurant and the convenience of staying at home and eating in your pj's.  Most of the delivery people aren't making more than minimum wage and they depend on tips to make the job profitable.  Same as a server at a restaurant.  Plus, if you order often...you may establish yourself as a very important client and get your food faster and hotter!  ALWAYS tip your service people...or do it yourself!

  7. I usually tip a couple of bucks - not as much as I would at a restaurant.

  8. When I used to have pizza delievered I definately told them to kep the loose change. Depending on how much money I have on me vs. the cost of the pizza I will give them more.

Example if my order is like

$16.50 for example and I have a $20.00 I'd tell them to keep all the change.  They get a nice $3.50 tip.  However if it's like $19.50 all they will get is 50 cents.

If I had a $20.00 and my order was like $7.00 I'd tell them to keep the $3.00 and just give me back the $10.00

Hope I've given you some insight.

  9. I always thought that I was supposed to tip them. If they take too long such as an unreasonable time, then I would just tip them a little.

  10. Yes.
