I give him an apple. That way he actually eats  instead of using it on drugs.

I have never given a homless person money "hand-to-hand."  Although I have donated a dollor and several quaters to organizations trying to donate money for poor people.

yes always.  They may waste it and they may use it for something they truely need.  The way I see it though is if I were in their situation I would want someone to help even if all they did was give me a handful of change.  I give them the benifit of the doubt and give them money.  They need it more than I do.

Never to young punks who are panhandling when they could be working; Maybe to older guys who look like they could use a sandwich and milkshake; Yes to anyone homeless toting their babies.

NO, I think it's better to donate to an organization that will really help them solve their troubles.

Yes.  After seeing what goes on in shelters, sometimes they are better off on the streets.
